i don't know what to say to you, but i'll smile anyhow

Today's entry should be titled "Min and Amanda's Excellent Adventure", but I've decided to allude to something more subtle, just because, I want to. I wish I could have written yesterday, but I was so tired and I had a whole bunch of homework to do and preparation for today, as we were going on a field trip.

Anyway, today we went to the Huntington Theatre to see the play Dead End. It was such an awesome play. I would go and see it again if I could. Well, let's start at the beginning. When I got to school, I had to make up a Pre Cal test, which really sucked. I almost finished it, but I have to go back tomorrow to finish up. After that I went to homeroom just to mull around before we left. Michael was not very happy, and something was bugging him, but he wouldn't tell anybody. I feel very bad when he feels bad, because he is almost always alive and happy and stuff. So, I went down to the auditorium, because that is where we are supposed to meet. I just talked with Min, Stephanie, Chris, and Kerri about the debate that we were supposed to watch last night. Then we went in the auditorium and listened to my English teacher talk about what we were going to do, and basically her bitching towards everyone. I wanted to get up and ask her about something, so I went to get out of my seat, and Katie and Emily were in my way. They just kind of moved their legs aside, and I tripped over them getting out of the aisle and almost fell on my head. That was lots of fun.

I got the pleasure to realize that my ex-semi date was also going on this trip. Oh joy. He didn't even say hello to me or anything. What a jerk. He is still cute though. Just a real loser. So, we went to wait by Little Peach for the bus. Min and I gave Wainwright our papers to put in his backpack. Then we talked a little while to him and Chris. It was really funny, because Chris was eating a banana, and then a bee came and chased him around. He said he was really scared of bees and didn't like them. I hate them too. Anyway, we went over to my teacher and showed her the notes that we brought from our mothers. Min and my mom each wrote notes so that we could stay in Boston after the play, because we planned to go and get our permits. This was originally my teacher's idea, but then she changed her mind and said that it wasn't fair to let us stay, and we had to come back. Well, that's okay...we devised a plan of our own. *heh*

So, we took the bus to the train station, and then took the train to our stop. We went in to see the play, and it was absolutely amazing. They built a pool in the orchestra pit, and it served as a river that the boys jumped in. Whenever they jumped in, they would splash the front row of people. All in all, it was just perfect. I can't think of another word to describe it. I had so much fun. After that we went out to lunch. I skipped Burger King and their nastiness they call food and got some pizza from this Greek place. It was really good, just because I was hungry. Throughout the whole play though, I had this painful headache. I think I got it when I tripped and hit my leg against the seats in the auditorium before we left. Well let me tell you, those endorphins weren't working at all. I took two tylenol, and they still did not help me. I was just eating my lunch then, and I bent down to pick up my sweater because it fell on the ground. All of the sudden I feel this snap. Then I remember that the straps on my bra are detachable, and one of them must have been loose or something. I was mortified. I wanted to go to the bathroom to fix it, but there wasn't a bathroom there. So we had to go to the bathroom in Burger King. As it so happens, we run into Antonio, Arshan, Jorge, and Raymond eating lunch, right near where the door to the bathroom is. Gawd. This stuff always happens to me. I just sheepishly waltzed to the bathroom while Min was talking with that crew. I just took the strap off and put it in my bag. What a smooth move...

Then we continued on and walked into a few stores. Min wanted to go into a music store, and we were talking to the guy about her trading in her violin and getting a better one. The guy was really nice. Then we went into Store 24 to get some snacks...well, Min got snacks, and I didn't want anything. There was nothing else to do, so we just waited around after that until it was time to leave. Our teacher got us on the train and said that the kids who wanted to go to the Davis station could get off at Park Street and switch trains. Good. Very goooood. When we were riding on the train, I was standing next to Antonio. I want to be his friend, 'cos he seems really cool, but I can never think of anything to say. He probably thinks I'm a freak or something. Well, we got to Park Street, and Min and I just skipped off to the inbound train instead of taking the one to Davis. The we took the Orange Line from Downtown Crossing to Chinatown, got off and went to the RMV right outside the station. We got a little ticket inside, and went upstairs. They have a pretty nifty system up there. I got my pic taken for my permit, and it is AWFUL!! I swear, I look like I'm high or something. The lady was really nice though...Min had trouble because her birth certificate is from Taiwan, and she doesn't have the original one. Well, I took my little computerized test and passed very easily. The questions were so asanine, I swear...so easy. Needless to say, I got my permit.

Then we had to make the trip home, which was not fun. I still had that killer headache. I got home and took some advil, then advanced to do my homework. That did not work, and my head was pulsating with pain. So, I went to my bed and fell asleep for about two hours. I shouldn't have done that, because now I still have homework to do, but I guess it's better that I didn't try to stay awake and make matters worse. I barely ever take any sort of tylenol or advil, but the pain was so severe, I just couldn't take it anymore.

So here I am now. Safe and sound. I am going to go and watch the Bush/Gore debate from last night, because that is an order from Mr. Burke, and I haven't done it yet. I taped it last night and am going to watch it tonight. I don't want to watch it. Debates are fun, but not this one. Pah. Today the weird people across the street were playing the Dido cd. I was singing along as I did my homework, because I have that cd too! Okay, time to go now...

Ciao!
