I went to see Mr. Iamello this morning because he gave me less points on my test than I deserved. I went and explained to him what he did wrong, and I got an extra nine points added on to my test. That was one nice little score. He took so long this morning, because he was changing his clothes in his little back room. Gross, yes I know, but I can't control that. You see, he rides his bike to school each day, so he wears his spandex to school and then changes into normal clothes. Actually, it's quite nasty, but I try not to think about it all day. So, he told me to give him ten minutes so that he could change his clothes. I went upstairs to my locker, put all my books in, and such things. I come down to his room ten minutes later, and he's still there, having a conversation. I yelled at him and told him that I've been waiting for him and that he should change his clothes already. He finally did, but it took him so long. He told me that Antonio bought him the South Park movie. That little suck-up! I can't beleive that. We had to watch a movie in English today, and I was just kind of looking at him every now and then. He can be very cute when he smiles, but he doesn't smile very often. Maybe I should give him some smiling lessons.
Calligraphy, once again, was very boring. My teacher was trying to fix some broken cabinet in the classroom that has probably been around since 1962. I asked for a pass down to the bathroom and went to see what was going on in the cafeteria. I saw Shrinkhala and Sergei, so I went to talk to them. Actually, I just went to talk to Shrinkala, because Sergei never talks, and I don't think that he likes me very much. I was in one of the side hallways, and my English teacher was sitting right down the hallway, grading papers in a chair or something. She had lunch duty, I suppose. She didn't even notice that I was somewhere I wasn't supposed to be; she's rather dense at times. We were having a conversation, and I just told them that I was taking a break for a while. Sergei said, "What do you mean? A forty-five minute break?" That's the first words out of his mouth that have ever been directed toward me. He even smiled. Wow, hell really must be freezing over. I have known Sergei since seventh grade, and he never talked to me, so this was quite a surprise. Then Christina came down the hall, and I said hi to her. She replied with a "AMANDA, WHY ARE YOU SKIPPING CLASS?" at the top of her lungs. Thanks a lot Christina, I'll remember that next time you need a favor or ask me a question. Some people can just be so very not nice at times.
I finally wrapped Jackie's Christmas present. I got her a silver bracelet. It's these little tiny links, which are really pretty. My mom got the same one for my cousin, and I really liked it, so she got me one to give to Jackie. I have a present for her dad as well, because he drives me to school every day, but it's not in yet. Anyway, I wrapped it up very nicely and put blue and white ribbons on it. I love wrapping presents, when I actually have the time. I hope that she likes it. I didn't really buy any presents for anyone except for her and my sister. I got some for my mom and dad as well, but they paid for them for each other, not me. I don't have any money to pay for anything. I am going to go broke trying to save money for Spain. I bought a thoughtful thing for my sister, though. I got her a music stand, for when she plays her violin. She is always propping it up on the case or against a chair or something, so I figured a stand would be nice.
I am very interested as to what my aunt bought me for Christmas. She always has such nice surprises for me, and is always thinking of me all of the time. I love my aunt so much, and I'm glad that she's my godmother. She told me that it was one big present, but I don't know if that is the truth, or if she's telling me that to trick me or something. She's really awesome at gifts though. When I was little I couldn't wait until I got to her gifts for birthdays or Christmas. She's the type of person who would buy you things for Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween...all the holidays. Even Guillermo and I agree about her present perfection. We don't agree on a lot of things, so that is pretty cool.
Well, I have to do nothing...but my eyes are really dry and hurting. I don't know why they get like that all of the time. I better stop writing now and take a rest. Tomorrow...last day of school!
