I had a lot of fun tonight because I went down to the tree lighting at Boston Common. They had a whole big show and everything. Jackie and I took the train down there to see. The reason we were actually going was because Mindy and her sister were going to be in the show. Everyone else was there because of Aaron Carter. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to be famous and all, but it seems to me as if he is riding on the fame of his older brother, Nick, of the Backstreet Boys. Anyway, we were all squished in with all of these people, and I was getting pissed off because everyone was putting their children up on their shoulders, and I couldn't see anything. At first they had some people singing; that was pretty nice. Then they had a dance company, and more singing. There was also people from the play Masquerade dancing and singing, and some Broadway star singing Christmas songs. God forbid anyone in the crowd didn't celerbrate Christmas. Then Aaron Carter came out, did one song, and left. I must admit, he is a little cutie though. But then again, how old is he? Twelve? He probably hasn't even hit puberty yet. Anyway, during while he was singing was when Mindy was on the stage. It was pretty cool. They were basically just background dancers for him, but they did a good job. I was happy after that because they had Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto do a little show that was really cute. There was a whole bunch of junk after that, and then they finally lit all of the trees. It was really pretty.
After the show was over, Jackie and I saw a girl that we know; I know her from dancing school, and she's friends with both of us. We went over to say hi, and then started to walk away. All of a sudden this lady comes out on the stage and tells everyone that Aaron is going to sing another song. I get mobbed by about fifty children running at me and pushing me over, trying to get in front. It was wild, and they almost knocked me over. Parents! Don't let your children do things like this! After he was done, we went to go find Mindy. Her sister was all excited because she got to hug Aaron and all. We were going to get a ride home with them, but there was no room. That's okay though. As we were leaving, the policeman yelled at us and told us to turn around. I guess he didn't like the way that we were going. I don't know, they don't make sense at times. I was so tired and hungry that I just wanted to go home. When we got to Davis we went to Dunkin' Donuts to get something to drink and waited for Jackie's dad to pick us up.
When I came home I ate a sandwitch and about six glasses of liquid. I think I had juice, water, and milk. I was just so thirsty, and I didn't know why. I watched some stupid program on E! about Las Vegas Showgirls, studied for my History test tomorrow, and here I am. Yes, here I sit. And soon I shan't be sitting anymore 'cos I'll be lying down in bed!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Jackie and I were on television! The news was covering the event, and I guess my sister was watching us at home and saw it.
