Today after school, Kathleen, Christina, and I went on excursions around the city. It was so fun! Our first stop was Christina's uncle's store, where we got some slush. I had tangerine, and it was really good. I've never tried tangerine slush before, and I was surprised that it was so good. After that we walked down to Davis Square, and we wanted to get some lunch. We couldn't decide where to go, because we were all so indifferent, so Christina and I assigned numbers to each place that we could possibly eat, and then we made Kathleen pick a number. It worked out considerably well; I ended up getting pizza along with everyone else. We sat for a long time and talked about a bunch of stuff. We walked around the sqaure, down into a used cd store, and then down to Pluto. Pluto is this really awesome store that has everything. It's full of trendy, cool things that are sort of original and not a lot of people have. There's everything from handbags to cards, clothes, really nice jewelry, and stationary. We were inspired by the jewelry, so then we decided to take a trip to Porter Sqaure to find the jewelry store that Min goes to all of the time. It was a bit of a long walk, but we make it. We couldn't find the store though, so we just kept walking until we found a stationary store. We stopped inside and looked around for some time, and then we asked the clerk at the desk where the shop was. She said that she wasn't sure, but there was a jewelry shop at the Porter Exchange, which we weren't quite sure as to its location. I have been there once, but I sort of forgot.
So, we walked along, and it turns out that I actually remembered the way quite well. On the way there, we found a sprinkler on someone's lawn, and Christina and I felt compelled to run through it, because it was so hot. Kathleen was the lookout. We were frolicking in the sprinkerly goodness, but then we got scared that someone might yell at us. So we ran out of the yard really quickly. That was our super fun interlude. Now, the Porter Exchange is pretty neat, because it's a small Japanese mini-mall. All of the stores there are Japanese, including all of the restauraunts. You would swear that you were actually in Japan. We went into the supermarket there, and took photo stickers. They came out so cute, but my fat face is in the way of everyone else. I got really close to the camera, and they all stood in the background, so you can see my face the most. *hehe* We just milled around after that, and the jewelry store wasn't so important anymore.
After that, we decided to make our way back to the main part of the square, where the giant shopping center is. We went into Star Market to cool off, because we were all sweating disgustingly. We stood by the dairy section where the huge freezers are. Then I called my mom to come and pick us up, because it was way too hot to walk all that way home. I told her to bring scissors too, so that we could cut up our sticker pictures. So, after that we browsed the produce section, and then I decided that we should go into the flower freezer, as it was much cooler. So we hung in the floral department, standing in the really freezing cold freezer. Then I got a headache from going from extreme hot to extreme cold, so we left. A little bit after, while we were in the soda aisle, my mom called and said that she was outside. She drove Christina and Kathleen home, and that was the end of our outing.
To be quite honest, it was the best last day of school activities that I have ever had. Jackie was going out with a bunch of people after school, and she didn't invite me to come along, as she usually does. Well, guess what? I had more fun without her, doing my own thing with my friends. Usually every year Jackie and I go out and do something, well maybe just going out to eat, or whatever. This year, she didn't ask, and she didn't care. Fine. I had adventures, and I had fun.
I have to babysit tomorrow, and I really don't want to. I suppose it's easy money, but it really breaks up my day an awful lot. I have to change one of my days next week, as it is Kathleen's BBQ and birthday on Thursday. I plan on getting her the movie 'The Wedding Singer' and the new Blink 182 cd. The movie is her favorite one, and she always watches it all of the time, so I hope that no one has gotten it for her yet. She told me that her mom just usually gets it for her from the library. I am happy because she invited Chris, and he said that he would come. I don't know if he will really show up, but if he does, it will make the party all the more better. The only bad thing is that Joe will be there, but I don't care. I mean, if I can make some progress with Chris, I'm not going to let Joe's feelings stop me. Yes, it is a cruel thing to say, and rather cold-hearted, but sometimes you just have to be this way. I think it is rather inconsiderate on my part, but I also think that only thinking of myself is a bad part of my personality, and maybe that's just the way I am. That's the way I am in this matter, anyhow. So, Chris will be there! <3
Last day of school...I started on my Spain scrap book today. I got the first page done. It looks pretty nice. Oh, I cracked the cover on my cell phone in the supermarket today. I'm just glad that it wasn't the lcd, because if it was, my dad would positively shoot me. I have already broken two lcds on previous phones. Well, I'm just glad that the torrential rain and lightning and thunder has stopped. It was a little bit scary there for a while. I got some nice sun on my back, because I was wearing a halter top today. I'm glad I didn't get burnt, as that would have me aching in pain for days. I'm glad that I didn't go to the beach yesterday, because a lot of people came into school today burnt to a crisp. Anyway, I've written far too much...I must find something to do.
