reunion of souls part one
2001-07-29 @ 10:02 p.m.

I just got back home about a half an hour ago from the dreaded family reunion. Let me just say that it really wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. It was very boring at times, but I met a few new people, and had fun at times. When we first got there, there were already a bunch of people there. We were all divided up by colored shirts, a different color for each of the six brothers. (This was my grandfather, and his six brothers, on my father's side.) It was kind of funny, because each shirt group had a different characteristic. The dark blue shirts felt that they were a little too good for everyone else, and didn't want to hang around too much. The light blue shirts were nice people, though there weren't too many of them. The teal shirt people were my own family, so I am prejudice in saying that we were the best group. I barely saw any of the white shirt people at all. I think I maybe saw one. The grey shirt people were cool; they came up all the way from South Carolina. I liked their accents, although usually a Southern accent would drive me mad. The green shirt people were the best, because they were fun to laugh at. They were the trailor park trash family of the reunion, who always ate all of the food, had sixteen year olds that smoked, and swore a lot. They were not too fun to hang around with. Most of the time I spent with Lauren, my sister Kat, or my cousin Courtney and her boyfriend Jeff. The first day that we got there, they took us to the beach, and Jeff, Lauren, Kat, and I had raft wars. We rented some canvas floats from a place on the beach, and made up teams. Kat and I were a team, and Lau and Jeff were a team. We got on the rafts and tried to tip each other over. It was lots of fun. Court didn't want to come in the water because she complained that it was too cold, but I thought that it was fun.

At night, there was not much to do. My cousin Chris was being a jerk as usual, and went out with all of his friends, taking my only companion Guillermo with him. Court took us out to the center and the amusement park as well as the arcade to walk around, and then we got ice cream. We went to this place where a girl from my school works, and it's in the more posh area of the city. I bet she has a house there. I hate her so much, because she pretends to be nice to you and then talks about you behind her back. I don't know if she's ever done that to me, but I've heard her do it to other people. She's really pretty, but an overall bitch. Isn't that alawys the way? Except for with me. Well, I'm not that stunning.

I'll finish this up tomorrow. It's late and I don't feel like talking now.
