nothing worse than burnt toast
2000-08-03 @ 8:44 p.m.

Today was sooo utterly boring, but I got a lot done. I forgot that mom had to go to work today, so that kind of bummed me out. I wanted to go out and do something. I slept pretty late this morning, because I was up really late last night. I was on hyper drive for some reason. If I don't cut this out, I will never be ready for school once it starts.

It seems to me as if all of the appliences in our house are breaking. The microwave never works right anymore, the refrigerator doesn't freeze ice cream, the toaster burns stuff, the grill makes these funny clicking noises, and now the compressor on the air conditioner doesn't work. It is a very frustrating thing. All of those stupid things are broken. I wish I had just a million dollars. Then I could buy all new stuff and not worry about having burnt toast, or that the grill will blow up any minute. Today has been the first humid yucky day in a while, and the ac doesn't work now.

I started reading America at 1750: A Social Portrait by Richard Hofstadter. Doesn't it sound like an enthralling book to you? Well guess what, it sucks. I have to read it, and it couldn't get any more boring. It is like watching a documentary on television with a monotonous boring person as your host. No pictures either. At least if it was a television thing there would be some pictures. But maybe if it was up to this guy, he would just focus on a picture of Washington crossing the Delaware River for the whole time. Either way, I strongly advise you not to read this book. It could be hazardous to your health, as well as the health of others. Tomorrow, is chapter two: white servitude.

Damn. My Sailormoon poster just fell off the wall and hit me in the head. The humidity must have loosened the tape, and with my ceiling fan on, it just flew right off. I hate when that kind of stuff happens. You spend a few minutes getting the poster nice and straight, and then it falls.

I want to get hosted for my website, but I'm kind of afraid to ask, ever since I didn't get accepted into that Lucky webring. I am going to have to make sure that everything is in good shape and such. I work my best to make the designs good. Now that I learned how to do frames, I'm sure I can conjure up some pretty nice stuff.

Don't have much else to say. Well, tomorrow is my packing day. I'm going on vacation next week, and I can't wait.

Ciao.
